Main Clearing Unfortunately, SageClanners do not have much room to just lounge around in the camp. The ground is soft and grassy with a few patches of dirt here and there. To the east is the entrance to camp, a long, winding tunnel of ferns, bracken and the clever SageClan cats have even added some stinging nettle. Moderator: Kuri xx |

Fallen Stump At the very edge of camp lies the enormous stump of a fallen tree. An old SageClan legend is that each of the rings on the stump represents a fallen leader, but no one knows for sure. The stump is surrounded on all sides by prickly brambles where the leader makes their den. |

Leader's Den If you go around the back of the Fallen Stump, you will find a larger clump of bracken and bramble. A small hole is the only entrance, and when you push through there still isn't much room - just a small, mossy nest with a few feathers for softness. The only roof to this den is a layer of tall, arching yellowed grass. Moderator: Kuri xx |

Warrior's Den Unless you were a SageClanner yourself, you would probably have trouble finding the warrior's den. The small, dark opening merges into the forest as it is located, like the Fallen Stump, by the edge of camp. SageClanners made use of the large holly bush nearby by adding clumps of bracken around it so that the bush provides shade in the summer and keeps the snow out in the winter. (Although more than once has the leader had to deal with a warrior or two complaining about getting rained on.) Moderator: Kuri xx |

Apprentice's Den Unlike the warrior's den, the apprentice's den is pretty easy to spot. A big clump of bracken growing beside the nursery is used as the younger cat's den, as it arches perfectly over and creates a sort of arch. Using some wild grass to make the arch into a dome was not an easy task, but now the apprentices have a nice, warm place to sleep. Moderator: Kuri xx |

Medicine Cat's Den Because of the limited space in camp, the first SageClan medicine cat found a little place to make a den a little away from the camp. Not far, maybe a few pawsteps through a bramble entrance and you're there. The medicine cat's den is nothing but a clump of flowering bushes under a willow tree, but the only word to acurately use to describe it would be small. Maybe two or three sick cats can be kept here at a time, and that is quite an inconvenience. The herbs are stored in small pits scraped out of the dirt. The one good thing is that the thick canopy of leaves keeps out the rain and snow. |

Nursery There is nothing much special about the nursery - it's simply a juniper bush that has been circled by bramble and bracken. The roof is made of bracken, the sides are made steady by sticks and twigs. Inside is almost always warm and cozy. |

Elder's Den The Elder's Den is a little bit different from all the other SageClan dens. Instead of being made of ferns, it is found in a hollow old tree that is miraculously still standing. The rain never gets through to the elder's den because it is located under a leavy tree that blocks out the rain well, but still the elders complain that they're getting all wet and go to stay in the nursery during storms. The warriors of SageClan constantly worry that the tree will not hold up much longer, but the elders say that's nonsense - this tree has been around since before they were born! |
