No New Posts Main Clearing

The main feature of the PaleClan camp is of course, Dew Lake. The clan gathers in a large ring around it for meetings, and the RoundStone lies in the centre. But the dens are also part of the main clearing, skant reed dens that the PaleClanners love. Dew Lake has a small stream leading from it, out of the camp. The entrance to the camp is a sturdy willow log leading over the water.

No New Posts RoundStone

The RoundStone is a wide, pale brown rock jutting from the centre of Dew Lake. It is slippery with moss and spray from the water, but the strong pads of the PaleClanners can grip it with ease. This is where the leader of PaleClan addresses their clan - the cats gather in a ring around the banks of Dew Lake.

No New Posts Leader's Den

The leader's den is different from the other dens; it is set in a hump of sandstone jutting from the earth. There is a small hollow within this, big enough for a cat to make their den. A soft nest lies in here, marking the presence of PaleClan's leader.

No New Posts Warriors' Den

The warriors' den is a large hollow dug into the earth. It is floored with soft sand and strewn with fairly orderly nests of moss and feathers. Reeds cover this hollow, their golden boughs providing skant shelter from the elements.

No New Posts Apprentices' Den

The apprentices' den is somewhat similar to the warriors' den. The only differences being the size and organization. It is smaller than the warriors' den by some length, and the nests within are far less organized - clumped together in messy friendship groups.

No New Posts Medicine Cat's Den

The medicine cat's den is in the very tip of the 'teardrop'. A curtain of vines shields it from view. Inside you can hear the burbling of the stream and the soft breathing of slumbering cats. It is perhaps the most peaceful part of the PaleClan camp. The herbs are kept in neat piles depending on their type.

No New Posts Nursery

The nursery is identical to the warriors' den, but for the brambles placed carefully around it. This is to stop intruders entering the nursery. Inside it is well sheltered and warm, with many comfortable nests of softest moss.

No New Posts Elders' Den

The elders' den is the largest den. It is near the medicine cat's den, so that the elderly will not have to walk far if they should fall ill. It is very comfortable inside - second only to the nursery.

Board Description
PaleClan Camp
The PaleClan camp. A calm, serene sort of place. The clearing would be circular, but for the curved extension which shapes it like a teardrop. A small lake is the centerpiece of this camp, big enough to provide a water source, but not large enough for fish. It is due to this lake, Dew Lake, that the cats of PaleClan can swim so skillfully. In the centre of the lake is a rounded boulder covered in moss. This is the RoundStone, where the PaleClan leader stands to address their clan. The dens of the PaleClan camp are dips in the sandy earth, sheltered by thick beds of reeds.
